What it is
A bio-revitalising peel with generally minimal surface disruption
WiQo PRX Plus is a professional peel treatment developed by WiQo that uses a formulation of trichloroacetic acid (TCA), hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid. Unlike traditional TCA peels which work by removing the outer layers of the skin, PRX Plus is formulated to minimise surface disruption while delivering active ingredients into the deeper dermal layers — a bio-revitalisation approach rather than a traditional surface exfoliation.
The treatment may support collagen and elastin production, address skin quality concerns and provide a bio-stimulatory effect with generally less downtime than comparable peeling approaches. Individual responses vary and the degree of surface change following treatment differs between clients and sessions.
All treatments are performed by qualified practitioners at Regenesis. As with all peel treatments, individual responses vary and suitability is confirmed at consultation before any treatment begins.

What to expect
The treatment experience
Your appointment begins with a skin assessment. Your practitioner will assess your skin on the day and confirm whether PRX Plus is the most appropriate treatment option. The treatment is generally performed without topical anaesthetic — the formulation is designed to minimise surface discomfort, though individual experiences vary.
01
Cleanse + Degrease
The skin is cleansed and degreased to prepare the surface for even product penetration.
02
PRX Plus Application
The WiQo PRX Plus solution is applied to the skin and worked into the surface using a specific massage technique. Multiple passes may be applied. You may feel a mild warming or tingling sensation during application — individual experiences vary. The solution is neutralised and removed following the prescribed application period.
03
WiQo Home Care Application
Following the in-clinic treatment, a WiQo home care product is applied and sent home with you to use over the following days. This home care step is an important part of the treatment and supports the skin's response following the in-clinic session.
04
Aftercare Guidance
Your practitioner will provide specific aftercare instructions and home care guidance at your appointment. SPF application is required following treatment.
Sessions + Downtime
Treatment plan and maintenance
PRX Plus is typically delivered as a course of sessions — commonly 4 to 6 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart for an initial treatment course. It may also be used as a periodic maintenance treatment or as a preparatory step prior to other clinical procedures. Your practitioner will recommend a plan based on your skin and concerns at consultation.
Downtime is generally minimal for most clients. Unlike traditional peeling treatments, PRX Plus is formulated to minimise visible surface peeling, though some clients may notice mild skin dryness or superficial flaking in the days following treatment. Individual responses vary. Your practitioner will advise on appropriate aftercare at your appointment.
Daily broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is recommended throughout and following your treatment course. UV exposure in the days following treatment should be minimised.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions
How is PRX Plus different from a traditional chemical peel?+
Traditional TCA peels work by removing the outer layers of the skin to varying depths, which typically involves visible peeling and a recovery period proportional to the peel depth. PRX Plus is formulated differently — the hydrogen peroxide in the solution neutralises the superficial action of the TCA, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate into the dermis without the same degree of surface disruption. This approach is aimed at a bio-stimulatory response with generally less visible peeling. Individual responses vary.
Is this treatment appropriate for my skin type?+
PRX Plus has been used across a range of skin types and tones. Suitability depends on individual assessment — your skin type, current condition and any relevant health history are considered at consultation. Your practitioner will confirm whether PRX Plus is appropriate for your skin before proceeding.
Will I peel after this treatment?+
PRX Plus is formulated to minimise visible surface peeling, which distinguishes it from traditional chemical peels. However individual responses vary — some clients notice mild dryness or superficial flaking in the days following treatment while others notice very little surface change. Your practitioner will advise on what to expect based on your individual skin at your appointment.
How many sessions will I need?+
A course of 4 to 6 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart is commonly recommended for an initial treatment course. PRX Plus may also be used as a periodic maintenance treatment. Your practitioner will discuss a recommended plan at your initial consultation.
How should I prepare for my appointment?+
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 1 to 2 weeks before treatment. Avoid retinoids and strong exfoliating acids for 5 to 7 days prior. Your practitioner will cleanse the skin at the start of your appointment. Let your practitioner know about any medications you are taking or any changes to your skin.
Are there any risks or side effects?+
Potential side effects include temporary redness, mild sensitivity and occasional superficial dryness or flaking in the days following treatment. As with all professional peel treatments, there is a risk of pigmentation changes or skin reaction in some individuals. Your practitioner will discuss all relevant risks at your consultation before any treatment proceeds.
Is this treatment recommended during pregnancy?+
Professional peel treatments including PRX Plus are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please advise your practitioner before booking.
