Non-contact radiofrequency for body contouring

EnCurve is a non-contact radiofrequency (RF) body treatment that delivers controlled RF energy to the body without direct skin contact. The applicators are positioned at a set distance above the treatment area, generating a resonant electric field that selectively heats adipose (fat) tissue in the targeted area. This selective heating of fat cells may disrupt their function and support the body's natural clearance processes over time.

Unlike some body contouring technologies that use direct contact applicators or cooling systems, EnCurve's non-contact approach may allow treatment across larger areas in a single session. The treatment focuses specifically on the fat layer — it is not a skin tightening or muscle stimulation treatment, though it may be complemented by such treatments depending on your goals.

As with all body contouring treatments, individual responses vary considerably. EnCurve is not a weight loss treatment. Suitability and realistic expectations are discussed at consultation before any treatment begins.

Where we treat

EnCurve may be appropriate for the following body areas. Treatment areas and suitability are confirmed at consultation.

  • Abdomen and flanks
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Upper arms
  • Back and bra area
  • Other body areas — assessed at consultation

How EnCurve works

EnCurve uses a proprietary resonant electric field technology to deliver RF energy to the treatment area without direct applicator contact. The RF energy selectively heats the fat layer beneath the skin while the skin surface temperature is monitored throughout to manage the thermal response in the tissue.

Non-contact RF platform using resonant electric field technology. Applicators are positioned above the treatment area — no direct skin contact required during treatment. The device monitors surface temperature throughout the session. May be used across larger treatment areas compared to contact RF devices. The treatment experience

Your first appointment begins with a body assessment. Your practitioner will assess the treatment area, discuss your goals and confirm whether EnCurve is appropriate for your situation. Pricing is confirmed at this appointment.

During treatment, you lie comfortably while the EnCurve applicators are positioned above the treatment area. The treatment is performed without direct contact — you will feel a progressive warming sensation as the RF energy is delivered to the treatment area. The temperature is monitored throughout. Sessions typically take between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the area being treated.

Following treatment the treated area may feel warm and appear mildly flushed. This typically settles within a few hours in most cases. Most clients are able to return to their normal routine shortly after their appointment, though individual responses vary. Your practitioner will provide aftercare guidance at your appointment.

Treatment plan and maintenance

A minimum of 4 sessions is recommended for EnCurve. Sessions are typically spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart for the initial course. The fat cell disruption response develops progressively — individual responses vary and changes in the treated area develop over the weeks following each session.

Maintenance sessions may be recommended following the initial course depending on your individual response and goals. This is discussed at your follow-up consultation.

Downtime is generally minimal for most clients. Staying well hydrated following treatment is recommended as the body's natural clearance processes are supported by adequate hydration. As with all body contouring treatments, individual responses vary considerably and maintaining a stable body weight and healthy lifestyle supports the treatment response over time.

Common questions

Is EnCurve a weight loss treatment?+
EnCurve is not a weight loss treatment and is not intended to replace a healthy diet or exercise. It is a body contouring treatment that may influence fat cell activity in the treated area over a course of sessions. Individual responses vary considerably. The treatment is generally considered by individuals who are at or near a healthy weight and are looking to address specific areas of localised fat. Realistic expectations are discussed at consultation.
What does non-contact treatment mean?+
Unlike most RF body treatments where applicators are placed directly on the skin, EnCurve's applicators are positioned at a set distance above the treatment area. The RF energy is delivered as a resonant electric field through the air to the tissue beneath. This means the treatment can be applied across the treatment area without direct skin contact throughout the session.
Is this treatment appropriate for my body type?+
EnCurve is generally considered for individuals who are at or near a healthy BMI with localised areas of fat that have been resistant to diet and exercise. It is not appropriate for individuals with very high BMI as a primary weight loss intervention. Suitability is confirmed at consultation — your practitioner will assess your individual situation and health history before recommending treatment.
How many sessions will I need?+
A minimum of 4 sessions is recommended. The appropriate number of sessions depends on the treatment area, the volume of fat being addressed and your individual response. Your practitioner will provide a personalised recommendation at your initial consultation.
Can EnCurve be combined with other body treatments?+
Yes — EnCurve may be used as part of a broader body treatment plan. It may complement skin tightening treatments such as Exion Body or Exilis Body, or muscle treatments such as Emsculpt NEO, depending on your goals. Your practitioner will discuss the most appropriate combination for your situation at consultation.
Are there any contraindications?+
EnCurve is not appropriate for individuals with implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers, metal implants in the treatment area, active skin conditions in the treatment area or certain medical conditions. It is not recommended during pregnancy. Your practitioner will conduct a full screening at consultation to confirm suitability.
Is this treatment recommended during pregnancy?+
EnCurve is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please advise your practitioner before booking.
